Unique experience – after celebrating New Year’s Eve on the main square, participate in the first Dubrovnik 10 km race.

The race:

The race starts and ends right in the centre of the historic city. The route is not totally easy : immediately after the exit from the Walls through the eastern gate (‘Vrata od Ploča’), the route ascends constantly over the Frana Supila Street for 2,2 km to the turning point, when the route starts descending for some 700 m, turns into Petra Kresimira IV Street, ascends again for 300 m at which point it opens an amazing view on the Walls and the Old City Port. Descending more down towards the Old City, the route enters into the Zagrebacka Street, then to the Iza Grada Street from which point the runners can literally touch the ancient ramparts. The entrance into the Walls at their eastern gate will require attention by the runners because of the steep and bending interspace between the gate and the main street. The first half of the race is completed by passing under the starting arch again. The second round is identical to the first, each is exactly 5 km long. The goal is the starting arch, in the middle of the ancient , ‘most beautiful street in the world’.
